Applying The KUMON Method:
The KUMON Math and Reading Program begins with an introduction meeting and placement testing.  Students visit the center once or twice each week.  On all other days, students complete their short 0-15 minute KUMON ASSIGNMENT AT HOME.  Each assignment is timed, to help students learn to focus and stay on task.  Timing also helps assess students comfort with the material.  Parents grade the assignment with the provided answer key to enable the student to make any necessary corrections.  Learning from one’s mistake is a key and important component to a student’s success in the program.  Each student has an individualized lesson plan that is a unique as their own fingerprint.  Students complete the program at Level L in Reading and Level O in Math.

Junior KUMON:
Preschool-Primary School students are eligible for KUMON North America’s quick paced, lively and fun program.  Jr. KUMON is designed to equip these youngsters for primary school and for the full KUMON program.  Students enrolling in Jr. KUMON are typically enrolled in both math and reading as the program is designed for both subjects to work in tandem.  However, it is not required that Jr. KUMON students enroll in both subjects.  Students successfully work at a quick pace to accomplish the routing of Jr. KUMON in both subjects in only 30 minutes during their center visit.  Daily time at home should be no longer than 20 minutes for both subjects combined.
